Helping, Today, to Educate Tomorrow’s Preservation Leaders

The 9th Baron Historical Preservation Scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving student, from MacDuff or Banff, who plans on studying Scottish history, historic preservation, or a related field.

Students will apply for the £2,500 scholarship, which can be applied to tuition expenses (if any), accommodation, board, or books, by submitting an essay that should include, but not be limited to, the following elements:

1. The importance of preservation, to the student.

2. What the student plans on studying, specifically.

3. How the student sees themselves applying what they will learn, in their future preservation efforts.

References from others, who support the students efforts, are encouraged.  Essays should be between 500 and 1000 words.

If no submissions that meet the above-referenced criteria are received, the scholarship may not be awarded.  The recipient of the scholarship, will be chosen at the sole discretion of the Baron of MacDuff.
